Description:
Alex Raymond Secret Agent X-9 Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-15-34 (King Features Syndicate, 1934). Alex Raymond's pulp magazine illustrator-influenced drybrush inking is at its best in this exciting episode from 1934, the first year of the feature. Raymond may have been inspired to use this inking technique as the strip's writer, Dashiell Hammett, was a renowned writer for the pulp magazine, Black Mask. This daily has an image area of 25" x 5.5", and the art is in Excellent condition.

Almirall, Raymond:. American architect, 1869-1939
