Description:
Gobbledygook #2 (Mirage Studios, 1984) Condition: VF/NM. Published at the same time as issue #1, this one is no easier to find! Overstreet ranks #2 as the fourth most-valuable Copper Age comic, and while that's an honor in itself, the stated Guide value may well be far too low, and all followers of comic pricing are sure to be watching this lot closely.

This copy has the same provenance as the copy of #1 we're offering in the previous lot. While CGC does not certify Gobbledygook, our three in-house graders who examined this copy of #2 graded it VF+, VF/NM, and VF/NM respectively. As with #1, the spine stresses visible on the scan are the only notable defect.

This issue has the same Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ad on the back cover as does #1. Inside, the comic continues Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's Fugitoid story from #1 and includes a few other features including (according to Laird's introduction) the duo's first collaboration from 1981. Overstreet 2010 VF/NM 9.0 value = $506; NM- 9.2 value = $750.
