Peanuts Characters Size Comparison Pan Model Cel (Bill Melendez Studios, 1960s-70s). One of the most amazing pieces we have ever come across, a Bil Melendez Studios hand-painted size-comparison pan model cel comprised of 18 characters: Charlie Brown, Linus, Schroeder, Frieda, Shermy, Violet, Roy, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Pigpen, Snoopy as the Flying Ace, Woodstock, and others! (Snoopy is featured twice). Characters range from 1" (Woodstock) to 3", with Schroeder being the tallest. Linus has his blanket, Pig Pen has his dirt. The cel measures approximately 30" x 10" and is placed over a printed background from the original TV special I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown. Apparently hung in the studios for reference, there are pieces out of most corners, nowhere near any of the images, and some tape at the top. The paint is in Fine condition, and there is some minor handling wear. What a piece of history!Auction Info
