Description

Fun and Fancy Free Pink Castle Concept Painting by Art Riley (Walt Disney, 1947). The Castle has always been an important part of the Disney legacy. Castles are seen in almost every Disney "fairy tale" film, from Snow White all the way up to Beauty and the Beast. This exceptional 16-field piece was created for the "Mickey and the Beanstalk" segment of Fun and Fancy Free, painted in acrylics/gouache on 5-peghole illustration board, with an image area of 15.5" x 11.75". Tape covers the pegholes; multiple tack holes are in all corners, and the board is beginning to separate in the upper right corner; image remains Fine. On the reverse is written "Pink Castle in the Clouds" and stamped "The Estate of Art Riley", #Lo 39.
