Description

Everett Raymond Kinstler Short Stories Magazine Pulp Illustration Original Art (Short Stories Inc., c. 1952). Everett Raymond Kinstler's beautiful pen work is informed with the influence of his friend and mentor, famed illustrator James Montgomery Flagg. After a successful start as a comic book and pulp illustrator, E. R. Kinstler later turned to painting, especially society and celebrity portrait work. This lively pulp illustration is a superb example of his free and easy pen line, which still manages to describe with great accuracy the attitudes of the figures in this "noir" montage. The overall size of the art is 12" x 15", and aside from irregular borders, and a paper surface pull in the lower left edge area, the art is in Very Good condition.
